Time Out says

Let your precocious pop stars party at Melbourne Music Week's family-friendly rave

Thought your partying days were over after you had kids? Think again. The award-winning Big Fish Little Fish (BFLF) Family Rave has been throwing kid-friendly dance events in London to increasingly large crowds since 2013. Since it's hit Melbourne the events have been a smash hit, and it will be returning this November as part of Melbourne Music Week

The first thing to know about BFLF is that it's a real-deal rave, with grown-up music like house, techno and rave classics. This time around the event will be held at the Melbourne Music Week hub – ACMI's Gallery One. Don't worry, though, this matinée rave will be strictly age-appropriate, with the BFLF team transforming the club into a pop star and rock star-themed rave.

Kids aged zero to eight and their parents are welcome at the party. Spacey Space and Scott Alert are headlining –you can expect them to drop some serious club bangers (albeit at a much lower volume). Big Fish Little Fish resident DJs Simon Murphy and Dave Juric will also be there, alongside lots of kid-friendly activities. Get keen for face painting, a craft area and a chillout zone for any babies who need some downtime.

Parents can relax a little too at the fully licensed bar before getting their tots ready for the grand finale – a parachute dance on the multi-sensory dance floor.

Big Fish Little Fish's rock stars and pop stars-themed family rave is happening on Sunday, November 18 as part of Melbourne Music Week. Fancy dress is encouraged but not essential, and tickets can be bought online.
