There are few places in Melbourne more conducive to live music than Sidney Myer Music Bowl, which is why the Live at the Bowl program of music, dance, circus, cultural and kids' events is the perfect way to celebrate the return of live performance to our city.

Live at the Bowl was born in summer 2021, after months of lockdowns had kept many of the city's music venues dark – and what a triumphant return it was. Summer 2022 promises to be just as crucial to getting audiences back to enjoying the things that make Melbourne Australia's cultural capital, and Live at the Bowl's second year promises to be just as exhilarating. There is something for everyone, from kids' shows to contemporary music and the symphony.

Arts Centre Melbourne’s gorgeous outdoor amphitheatre in Kings Domain comes alive between January and April with a series of events to help you make the most of balmy nightsAudiences can sit up the front in tiered seating, or bring a picnic rug and stretch out or dance on the lawn on the hill behind. The rustling of leaves and the gentle breeze off the river are the perfect accompaniment to any performance.
