A new boutique music festival is landing in the Macedon Ranges this summer
Camping is commonplace at summer music festivals. Luxury resorts not so much. Festival 23 is attempting to shake up that paradigm, however, dipping its toe into the summer music festival waters for the first time this February.
The festival takes over the Lancemore Macedon Ranges hotel for three days of electronic music spanning techno, deep house and synth. Confirmed on the line-up is Stacey Pullen (US), Osunlade (US), Mimi Love and Dave Dinger (DE), Trus’me (UK), Sapphire Slows (JP), Thankyou City, Honeysmack, Moe Aloha, Anyo, Lucca Tan and many more.
All guests at Festival 23 have camping included in the ticket price or can choose to upgrade to glamping or staying in the hotel itself. The entire hotel/festival grounds features 110 hectares of bushland, a plunge pool and tennis courts.
If that sounds different to your average festival you’d be right, with event organisers wanting punters to have a ripper of a time but also feel recharged on the ride home. Festival 23 is using the entire resort grounds to host not only guests but also dancefloors, workshops, art installations and activities.
