Time Out says

The adult-focused electronic music and arts festival returns to the Macedon Ranges for a second time

Just an hour’s drive from Melbourne, Festival 23 returns with three days and nights of electronic music, creative experimentation and nature-based adventure.

The intimate, community-built and inclusive festival will be held on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People.
Running from January 27-29, spend the days and nights revelling against the backdrop of the Macedon Ranges' undulating views and swimming in the freshwater dam or infinity pool.

You can e
xpect an electronic music line-up boasting some of the most innovative acts on the international stage, such as Franca (Germany), Henry Saiz (Spain), Ben Balance (Germany), Christopher Coe (Ireland), Licaxx (Japan), Deep Ghosh (Netherlands) as well as a whole mix of Australian DJs such as Tokyo Love Hotel, Capture Crew and Vinyl Vixens.

The festival will also have a workshop program for people to come together and explore different ways of connecting deeper with their surroundings. This year’s program will feature everything from sound journeys, yoga, qigong, breathwork and ice baths, as well as workshops on 'Indigenous Ways of Being', 'Inspiring Behavior Change', 'Soulful Speed Dating' and more.

Creativity is at the beating heart of Festival 23, and there will be an innovative art program spotlighting returning artists and fresh talent as they transform the spaces - inside and out. Expect to see artists like the projection illusionist Nick Azidis, laser artist Marc Pascal and installation artist Chi-uh Sta transform the venue through experiential and multi-sensory craftsmanship.

Melbourne restaurants such as Paco Ramen, Disco Chicken, and other stalls will also serve food throughout the festival. There will also be a full-service restaurant onsite at the Lancemore Macedon Ranges.

Festival 23 will run from January 27-29, and tickets start from $363, with day tickets also available.

The festival’s motto is to “come play” and “leave better than you came’, so why not put that to the test and book tickets
here?
