Time Out says

BYO apathy and combat boots

I'm overcome with emotion.

Calling all sarcastic '90s kids: the party you've been dreaming of is here. Sad Grrrls Club – the NSW-based record label and booking agency – is hosting a Daria-themed night at The Curtin, complete with grunge, emo and punk bands, plus DJs playing all your favourite hits of the '90s and '00s.

Sad Grrrls Club is a collective which aims to promote the work of non-male musicians and encourage inclusivity and diversity in the music industry. For the past two years, they've been running Sad Grrrls Fest: a festival that boasts a killer line-up of non-male musicians across rock, punk, folk, hip-hop and electronica. Read an interview with Sad Grrrls co-founder Rachel Maria Cox and Camp Cope's Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich to find out more about the group.

Through their Daria party, Sad Grrrls hopes to raise money for this year's Sad Grrrls Fest. They're taking inspiration from everyone's favourite misanthropic teen (who was also super smart and didn't take crap from anybody) and putting on a line-up that Daria would love (even though she wouldn't show it).

You'll hear the likes of grunge punks Thrasher Jynx, emo-punks The Football Club and soul-rockers Jackie Brown Jr. There'll be prizes for costumes, so be sure to rock your best '90s grunge threads.
