Southern Sounds, presented by Southern Comfort, is descending on Melbourne this summer for two free nights of live music by some of the country's hottest talents.
Southern Sounds might be all about the music of New Orleans but it will be an all Aussie line-up performing. It all kicks off on Thursday January 11 when REMI takes over the stage at Northcote Social Club. The collaboration between Remi Kolawole and producer Sensible J has created suave, rhythmic hip hop perfect for a New Orleans inspired evening. They’ll be joined by LOSSLESS, Html Flowers, Oscar Key Sung and DJ Sezzo Snot.
The party kicks on the following week on Thursday January 18 at the Night Cat in Fitzroy. Oscar Key Sung will be backing up his Northcote Social Club performance with a headline act. Supporting him will be saxophonist-turned-DJ Silentjay as well as DJ Mira Boru.
You won’t need to spend a dime for your New Orleans nights, however, entry is on a first come serve basis. Bluesy enthusiasts come early to make sure you rock up early to guarantee entry.
