Time Out says

Get ready to hip hop till you drop with the American rappers as they join forces to bring their global NY State of Mind tour to Melbourne

Protect Ya Neck! Wu-Tang Clan and Nas are back in the game to make history with their global NY State of Mind Tour, stopping by Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on May 14.

Founded in 1992 in Staten Island, New York, the Wu-Tang Clan comprises nine members, including RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. Considered by many to be the greatest hip-hop group of all time, the Clan are known for their gritty beats, martial arts references and lyrics that touch on urban life, poverty and politics.

Nas – real name Nasir Jones – is an American rapper and songwriter also considered one of the greatest rappers ever. After first gaining attention with his debut album Illmatic in 1994, album tracks like 'The World is Yours' and 'NY State of Mind' cemented Nas as a leading chronicler of inner-city street life. He has since become known for his activism and philanthropy and has collaborated with everyone from Jay-Z and Lauryn Hill to Damian Marley.

The 2023 Australian tour is produced by Live Nation and comes on the heels of the sold-out NY State of Mind Tour that hit more than 25 cities in 2022. Produced by Live Nation, expect to hear the Wu-Tang Clan’s extensive list of classic tracks like 'C.R.E.A.M' and 'Protect Ya Neck', with Nas’ groundbreaking tracks like 'If I Ruled the World' and 'The World is Yours.'

In addition to Wu-Tang Clan and Nas, the concert will feature special guest performances from some of Australia’s top hip-hop artists like Hilltop Hoods, Bliss n Eso and Illy.

See two of the most iconic rap groups join forces in what will be an unforgettable night at the Rod Laver Arena. Live Nation pre-sale tickets commence at 11 am on Friday, March 3, with general tickets going on sale at noon on March 6.
