A Starward Whisky pop-up is now open in Melbourne’s CBD

Port Melbourne distillery, Starward Whisky, has opened its first-ever pop-up in Myer Melbourne’s Giftorium.

For the perfect Christmas gift, limited edition ‘personalise your own’ bottles are available for purchase. These are a single malt whisky that’s been matured in four Australian red wine barrels from the Barossa Valley. Three of the barrels require minimal interference and produce the jammy, red wine characteristics Stareward’s whisky is known for. The fourth barrel has been charred to add a bold, oaky character to the flavour profile. The result: a spirit that is fruity on the nose and the front palate, with the oak and dry spice becoming detectable on the back palate.

For the ‘personalise your own’ whisky, shoppers may choose to have a custom message inscribed on the label. Bottles are 700ml and valued at $165, and there are also only 1,200 bottles available, so you’d better get in quick.

Alongside the ‘personalise your own’ whisky, patrons can also choose from other items from the Starward range, including a single malt Nova, a double-grain Two-Fold, and distillery batched cocktails the (New) Old Fashioned and Red Manhattan. You can also purchase merchandise including cocktail kits, flasks, custom whisky glasses and caps.

Located on level four of Myer Bourke Street Mall, you can recognise the pop-up from Starward's signature dark oak and timber aesthetic and copper piping detail.

The Starward Whisky pop-up is open until December 30.
