You could fly from Melbourne to the Whitsundays for $49, and to Fiji from $215 – but you'll want to act fast

Lets be honest: the world is a scary place right now, and nothing helps wash worries away quite like a beach holiday. Thankfully, Jetstar is delivering with a huge sale on flights to coastal faves. From laid-back Aussie shores to dreamy international coastlines, there are plenty of places to lap up the sun, surf and sand. The budget airline has just discounted 60,000 fares to Australia’s top beach destinations and tropical overseas hotspots, with flights starting from just $49.
Jetstar’s ‘Life’s a Beach Sale’ is on now, running until 11.59pm AEDT on Monday, March 23 (unless sold out prior). Travel dates vary per route, but we spotted flights from as early as April 2026, with plenty of options available across the peak summer period between November 2026 and February 2027. It's always good to have something to look forward to, right?
The $49 one-way flights are expected to fly off the shelves, including sub $50 flights from Melbourne to the Whitsundays. For less than $100, you can also score cheap flights between Australia’s major capital cities.
If you’re dreaming of an international island escape, you’re in luck. There are five dreamy beach destinations on sale, with flights from Melbourne to Nadi (Fiji) from $215. You can also score cut-price flights to Denpasar (Bali), Rarotonga (Cook Islands), Port Vila (Vanuatu) and Phuket (Thailand). See you on island time?
