Taking the ferry across Port Phillip Bay from Queenscliff to Sorrento is one of Victoria's most scenic experiences. Heck, it's even one of Time Out's 101 best things to do in Melbourne. And now a lucky 40,000 Victorians will now be able to experience the glorious water crossing for free.

Searoad Ferries, the company that runs the ferry between Queenscliff and Sorrento, is giving away 38,484 free return tickets to thank Victorians for their hard work this year. CEO of Searoad Ferries, Matt McDonald, said: "We are a family owned business and we know how hard it has been for Victorians – a free ticket, the beauty of the bay and some fresh air is something we would love Victorians to experience."

The free tickets are for pedestrian passengers only (not travellers taking a vehicle across) and one free ticket is available per person. You can register here for your free ticket from Wednesday, November 18 until 5pm on November 22. Tickets can be used between November 23, 2020, and July 31 2021.

Melbourne has a new arcade and it's decked out entirely in street art.
