To launch Fatto's new 'Pronto Lunch' (that's 'express lunch' to us Antipodeans), the restaurant is bringing back its $10 bowl of crab spaghettini for one day only. Make your way to Southbank on Monday May 21 from midday for hand-picked Fraser Island spanner crab tossed with garlic, chili and lemon, tumbled in a warming bowl of toothsome pasta. This deal will be on for lunchtime only until they sell out.
If you can't make it on Monday, the Pronto Lunch will continue over the weekdays over winter. For $25 you get yourself a soul-warming main, a side and a glass of wine. Expect the likes of roast pumpkin cannelloni with ricotta and tomato sugo; rigatoni with Bolognese ragu and red wine sauce; and ribollita soup served with cannellini, cavolo nero, potato and bread.
If you're hoping to get yourself a bowl of spaghettini on Monday, the good news is, you can book your table here, but Fatto also encourages walk-ins. Good luck to you if you're going to wing it; last time, the lines were long and the pasta sold out after serving 200 hungry faces. Get organised and leave that can of tuna in your desk for Tuesday.
