The much-loved cabins at Banksia Bluff Campground are making a comeback, with bookings opening today (Friday, November 6) for stays from January 11, 2027

Summer is literally just around the corner, and if your kind of summer hols involves waking up to the sound of the waves and spending your days wandering along coastal trails, you might want to put Cape Conran on your radar. The much-loved cabins at Banksia Bluff Campground are making a comeback, with bookings opening today (Friday, November 6), for stays from January 11, 2027.
The reopening marks a very welcome return for the accommodation, which was destroyed during the devastating 2019-20 bushfires. The new collection includes six one-bedroom cabins and four three-bedroom cabins – big group getaway, anyone?
Designed to make a stay in the great outdoors extra comfy, all ten cabins are self-contained – set up with kitchen facilities, private bathrooms, drinking water, ceiling fans, pellet heaters and outdoor decks. Seven also feature accessibility improvements, including ramp access, wider doorways and bathroom handrails.
There’s a lot to love about the location, too. Set along Victoria’s gorgeous East Gippsland coastline (recently named one of the most underrated places to visit in 2027), Cape Conran Coastal Park is known for its rugged beaches, granite rock formations, coastal heathland and native wildlife. While you’re there, you can spend your days swimming, fishing and exploring the walking trails that weave through the bush and along the coast.
Keen? Bookings open today via the Parks Victoria website, with stays available from January 11, 2027.
