What is the one thing you’d change about Melbourne?

We’re curious about what you think about living in Melbourne, and whether it’s still one of the world’s best cities

For the past few years, Time Out has been asking city-dwellers around the world about what it’s like to live in their city. How they are feeling about the restaurants, the theatre shows, the parks and gardens, and even the other people who live there. We gather the info via the Time Out Index: our huge, anonymous survey of urbanites all over the planet.

In the past, the index has revealed that Melbourne is the second-best city in the world (falling just short of the show-offs over in New York City) and that Melburnians are some of the happiest citizens in the world.

Naturally, the past year hasn’t been the best for many cities around the world. We had to put a pause on some of the best things that make our city great. But Melbourne is one of the lucky cities – our way of life is pretty much back to normal and we’re all doing our best to help the businesses that were shuttered for months on end.

Has the last year changed your opinion of Melbourne? We’re once again asking readers to weigh in on what they love about their cities – and what they’d change. Take our fun quiz (it takes less than ten minutes) and tell us how things are right now in your city, whether that’s good, bad, locked down or looking up. You’ll be able to help us pinpoint what makes city life great in 2021.
