*Connie's Italian Diner closed on Saturday 27 May 2023. Long-time fans needn't fret however. Michael and Zara Madrusan, owners of Connie's, are currently looking for a new location for the beloved venue. In the meantime, Connie's famed 'grandma pies' will be available downtairs at the pair's rock n' roll bar Heartbreaker. Watch this space for more details. Connie's is famous for authentic New York-inspired slices just like co-owner Michael Madrusan's (Made in the Shade) nonna used to make.
After the success of both their hole-in-the-wall pizzeria operating out of Heartbreaker, and their upstairs diner on Russell St, the team from Connie's Pizzeria are now planning their third location.
