Melburnian restauranteur Mani Waraich debuts a new Black Rock hot spot

This restaurant comes to you from the team that blessed us with St Kilda’s Babu Ji and Hawthorn's Piquancy. This time round they will be serving more modern Indian from chef Punit Fernandes, who is from the coastal city of Mumbai. Elichi (which means cardamom in Punjabi) will be serving up roasted Jerusalem artichoke chaat with fried curry leaf, garlic labne and herb oil; and mushroom kebabs with a goats cheese and parmesan pappadum. Australian-Indian favourite tandoori chicken comes served with a young carrot and yoghurt emulsion; while pork vindaloo is balanced with sugarcane vinegar and truffle naan bread. You'll also find a rich homemade chai blend and Indian sweets to finish the night off on a sugar high.
