Time Out says

Whether you love your caffeine fix Italian-style, with a dollop of ice cream or in cocktail form, Intermission is doing it all

You may have heard of Dolly, the glamorous subterranean restaurant and cocktail bar down the staircase at five-star hotel Le Meridien, but did you know that the hotel also has a dedicated espresso café? Located in the lobby, the chic 1950s-style coffee spot is open all day, transforming into a swish wine bar and happy hour haven in the evening.

For over a decade, Le Méridien’s Master Barista program has provided its staff with intensive training in the art of extraordinary coffee crafting. And to celebrate Intermission’s launch, Le Meridien is offering visitors the chance to snap up a dazzling array of delicious coffee, dessert and drinks deals until International Coffee Day on Sunday, October 1, in partnership with much-loved bean legends Axil Coffee Roasters.

Head in from 7am until 10am to enjoy two Master Barista-brewed coffees for just $4. The team will be handing out coffee card stamps, with your eighth coffee free of charge. That’s two down this week, only six to go!

If you prefer your caffeine fix with a slosh of liquor, stop in from 5pm to 7pm to enjoy two-for-one Espresso Martini deals. The café will also be serving Le Meridien’s famous ‘Le Scoop’ Espresso Martini and coffee-flavoured gelato. Get one for just $6 with a complimentary scoop for a pal.

Finally, Intermission’s signature affogato is also up for grabs – and with each order, any little ones in tow can enjoy a tiny ‘Le Scoop’ free.

Oh, and we haven’t even got to the best part yet. If you buy a coffee this week until Sunday October 1, you’ll also go into the draw to win a luxe one-night staycation at the hotel. All you need to do is follow Le Méridien on Instagram, and scan the QR code at Intermission to subscribe to their e-newsletters and enter the draw.
