Dans le Noir Melbourne is putting the theory that “love is blind” to the test. On Thursday, September 20 it will be teaming up with We Click Speed Dating to host its first Dating the Dark event in Melbourne.
During Dating in the Dark singletons will go on five mini dates with five strangers in a completely darkened room. We don’t mean it’ll be mood light murky; participants will go on their mini dates in a completely pitch-black room. Without your sight you’ll have to rely on your other senses to impress your partners.
The evening involves a five-course tapas menu (all dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice), which will also be enjoyed sans light. Don’t come dressed like a slob, however, because the lights will come on at the end of the evening for you to meet your dates face-to-face and play some ice-breaking games.
Dating in the Dark is happening at Dans Le Noir’s usual venue, the Como in South Yarra. The event is currently accepting reservations for singletons aged 28 to 39, and 39 to 48.
