Haven't seen The Phantom of the Opera yet? Keen to go for round two? You can snag free tickets to see the smash-hit production by scavenging for hidden notes around Melbourne. Channel your inner Inspector Clouseau and try to find one of the 50 notes scattered across ten locations within the CBD, with lucky victors able to exchange the note for two free tickets to a selected performance – finders keepers, losers weepers.

Keep a beady eye on Opera Australia’s socials on Friday morning (January 20), where clues to the notes’ locations will be unmasked. The stakes may be high with 100 tickets to find, but when it comes to winning tickets to Arts Centre Melbourne’s highest-selling show, is there anything wrong with a little healthy competition?

The scavenger hunt will run for a strictly limited time, and winners have to call the Opera Australia box office on Monday January 23 to claim their tickets.

Running until February 18, don’t miss your chance to see Cameron Mackintosh’s praiseworthy production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary classic. After its record-breaking season at the Sydney Opera House, the production has made waves here in Melbourne, and it truly is a beautifully-performed and sumptuous entertaining production – read our four-star review of it here.

Want to know what else is on? It's curtains up for these theatre productions and musicals this month.
