[Sponsored] Show your love for Victoria’s central regions

This Valentine’s Day share your love with someone who will never leave you: beautiful Central Victoria. The Regional Centre for Culture is hosting a Valentine’s Day event in Bendigo’s Rosalind Park where guests will be asked to write a ‘love letter’ to Central Victoria.

Your letter is your chance to share what you love about the region with others. Maybe you love the freedom of the wide, golden fields. Or perhaps it’s the region’s eclectic creative scene that makes you swoon. Whatever it is write it down: all the love letters will be incorporated into a new, huge sculpture by artists Felipe Reynolds and Racquel Kerr. The sculpture (appropriately called 'Heart') is the centrepiece of the evening, and reflects on the landscape of Dja Dja Wurrung country (Kerr is a traditional Dja Dja Wurrung owner).

As part of the event there will also be a Dja Dja Wurrung smoking ceremony and live music from Leeway, Rachel by the Sea and Seduceaphons. Dance with your beloved at a silent disco or get involved with some interactive performance art thanks to Gherkin Khan's Amusement Alcazar.

This event is part of the Regional Centre for Culture; a year-long celebration of the four buzzing Victorian centres of Bendigo, Daylesford, Castlemaine and Maryborough. Find out more about all the events happening in the Regional Centre for Culture in 2018.
