Time Out says

Paint and sip classes have become super popular in Melbourne recently — and we can understand why, because the best way to properly unleash your inner Picasso is with a glass of wine (or three) to wash away any artistic inhibitions. But now, there's a new art experience in Melbourne with a surprising difference that will definitely make for an unusual and fun outing.

Unlike the paint and sip sessions of yore, Art and Glow in the Dark has painters immerse themselves in darkness — and instead of painting a picturesque landscape (again), you can let your creativity go wild with fluorescent neon paints under UV lights.

It takes us back to our neon-themed uni club nights, but without the sticky floors and poorly chosen outfits. But similarly to the neon clubs of yesteryear, there'll be alcohol at this artistic masterclass. Painters will receive a complimentary glass of wine, with additional drinks at the bar. Also, the tunes will be pumping, with 90s club hits as well as newer beats. There are also family-friendly sessions that are alcohol-free.

Throughout your neon artistic journey, you'll be guided by a professional artist to help you create your own masterpiece to take home and proudly display. This event runs on selected dates across September and October, with tickets $65 per person.
