Time Out says

For the eleventh year, Ballarat will become home to a massive festival showcasing regional booze makers

On February 19, the Ballarat Beer Festival is celebrating its eleventh year with a triumphant return to the North Gardens for a weekend of local beers, bites and blues.

More than 150 local beers will be on offer, as well as ciders, wines and gins. Whether you're a craft beer connoisseur or simply someone who enjoys a good bev, this is the perfect place to try a wide selection of libations.

Punters will have plenty of space to relax in the spacious North Gardens located in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, and it's recommended that you BYO picnic rug. Find a spot in the shade where you can relax with some froths and listen to the line-up of live music headlined by guitarist and singer-songwriter Russell Morris.

The festival will also include entertainment in the form of beer education classes, blind tastings, trivia games, a sack race and more. Once you've tuckered yourself out and worked up an appetite, grab a feed from the huge variety of food trucks serving cuisines from around the globe.

Tickets start at $35 for an afternoon or evening session and you can save a bit of dough by grabbing an all-day ticket or making a group booking. Head to the Ballarat Beer Festival website for more information and to book your tickets.
