Conscious Dating Co. is all about engaging in real, thought-provoking conversations and moving beyond surface-level introductions. Here you’ll forgo the usual small talk in favour of more juicy medium talk.
Recently, Conscious Dating made its way down from Sydney to Melbourne. This will be the first time their event for gay men will be run here – and if the way that Sydney men have embraced this event is anything to go by, then this looks to be a great new way for gay men to meet like-minded folk IRL.
The event begins with a group activity – this time it’s chilled meditation with live drum music – that’s purposefully designed to shake off any nerves and jump start the fun. Attendees then split off into groups of two and rotate around the room, getting to know each other through fun challenges and conversation starters. At the end of the night you’re given a card to note who you’d like to see again and matches are emailed after the event.
Conscious Dating’s next event for single gay men will take place on Friday March 10 on Argyle Street in Fitzroy. Wine, herbal tea and finger food will be provided.
Conscious Dating is running a straight speed dating night on Saturday March 11.
