Polished puppers will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk and showing off Australian designers' one-off canine collections
Catwalk? More like dogwalk. Melbourne's design-crazy doggos are getting their very own fashion show as part of Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Australian designers including Camilla, Romance Was Born, Manning Cartell, Thurley, Elk and Bul have created custom dog coats to be modelled live during the show. Post-show, all of the haute couture dog coats will be auctioned off, with the profits going to Guide Dogs Australia.
There will be something for human companions too, with each designer showcasing a hero piece from their runway collection. The top students of the Kangan Institute have also put together an opening runway show, featuring the work of past and present budding designers.
Attendees will receive canapés and drinks on the night, though sadly we don't think furry friends are invited.
