Time Out says

Food trucks are descending on Moonee Valley Racecourse for the AFL Grand Final long weekend

Melbourne’s next long weekend is looming so it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the warm(ish) weather we’ve been having and head outside. The folks behind the Food Truck Park are launching three (three!) different one-day festivals at the Moonee Valley Racecourse overt the AFL Grand Final long weekend

On Friday, September 27, it’s the Big Chicken and Beer Festival. Kicking off at 1pm, the festivities will include plenty of craft beers, some AFL Grand Final festivities and chicken… derr. Stick around and you can even catch some horse racing on the racecourse at 5.30pm.

On Saturday, September 28, there will be the Sweet Lane Festival. As well as the Grand Final match being played live on the big screen, there will be sweet treats, more craft beer, wine, cider and even some live entertainment.

And on Sunday, September 29, Moonee Valley Racecourse will hold the Kids Food Truck Day Out with a bunch of family friendly activities. Think rides, games and, of course, a  stacked line-up of gourmet food trucks.

Already confirmed to attend will be Bok Bok Korean Chicken, O Tuga Tastes of Portugal, Naughty Frenchy, Manny’s Doughnuts, Smoothie Planet and the Kracken Squid. All food trucks will be set up across all three days and will be serving until 10pm.

General admission on Saturday and Sunday is $5 (free entry for those under 12). General admission on Friday is $25 (free entry for those under 17) and includes entry to the late night horseracing festivities.
