There are few dog breeds as suited to Melbourne as greyhounds. Suited to apartment living and loyal, they make excellent pets – and there are a lot of them in need of forever homes.
Greyhound rescue charities Amazing Greys and Gumtree Greys are holding a fundraiser at Thunder Road Brewery, offering plenty of food, entertainment, and most importantly, greyhounds who want to be patted.
Entry is $35 and includes some vegan snacks. There will be a doggie fashion and talent show (entry is $5 to participate, and all breeds are welcome), with prizes available to be won.
First Paw Mobile Vet will be on hand to check your dog's teeth, and for you there will be drinks to buy at the bar. Bring your own dog or meet your new one.
