Discover the universe and drink beer – that’s the premise behind Immersive Science II: Revealing the Invisible Universe. The event, co-hosted by the State Library of Victoria and Mountain Goat Brewery, will take guests on a journey through the universe and even beyond what our eyes can see.
Using virtual reality, Immersive Science will fully envelop the audience in the work of Australia’s leading astronomers. While on your galactic adventure you’ll also be able to grab a beer from the Richmond-based Mountain Goat Brewery.
Joining the Immersive Science event is professor Alan Duffy, a computational astrophysicist and regular on ABC News Breakfast and ABC Radio Melbourne. He’ll be speaking alongside Dr Rebecca Allen, a fellow astrophysicist at Swinburne University of Technology, and you’ll have the chance to ask both of them questions about the universe we live in.
Immersive Science II: Revealing the Invisible Universe is on from 7pm, Thursday August 16 at Mountain Goat Brewery. Doors open 6.30pm.
