Ethical bakery Baker Bleu is renowned for its ash-coloured country rolls that sit pretty in a perfectly circular wheel of 36. The Caulfield North venue is now set to make your Easter by joining forces with luxe food delivery service Providoor to provide a live cooking class.
The live-streamed class will be hosted by Providoor founder Shane Delia and Baker Bleu's co-owner and baker Mike Russell, and you'll learn how to make its sour cherry and dark chocolate Easter buns from scratch at home.
The class will be broken into three stages with two pre-recorded videos teaching you how to prep and prove dough. The live class will take place on Instagram and will show you the ropes on forming, glazing and scoring the buns, plus how to make a sourdough starter to use in future.
Each kit will be equipped with everything needed to bake two dozen Baker Bleu sour cherry and dark chocolate Easter buns, like a kilo of Tuerong Farm Winter white flour, Hunted and Gathered Dominican Republic chocolate, organic sour cherries, St David’s cultured butter and the tools (dough scraper and the perfect pan).
Sales will open on Saturday March 6, coinciding with the in-store launch of Baker Bleu's Easter buns. The live class will be broadcasted on Sunday March 28, with kits dropped to your door the day prior.
