Romans Original, the fine sandwich and natural wine purveyors in Footscray, is throwing a party for the best possible reason. No, it is not a birthday party. It isn't new release party. It isn't even a party to celebrate spring finally springing. Romans Original is throwing a party two months into its life as a cafe-cum-bar to celebrate not going broke. And in this climate of oversaturation and mediocrity, it is a damn fine achievement and we should charge our glasses to that.
From midday on Sunday, October 13, Nick Stanton of Leonardo's Pizza fame will be taking over the kitchen with various DJ setting the vibe, and Romans Original's own Leigh McKenny putting together a list of fun and celebratory bottles.
Everyone is welcome, entry is free and we hear the party will go until late. Cheers to that!
