Your summer in Bendigo just got a whole lot better thanks to all the music, light, dance, food, film, sport and culture in the Summer in the Parks program. Throughout the summer months more than 100 free (or cheap) events are taking place across the City of Greater Bendigo’s parks and reserves.
Launching the Summer in the Parks series in December is a bunch of festive outdoor events aimed at turning up the city’s merriment factor. Think carols, Christmas picnics, festive film screenings and the lighting of the Bendigo Christmas Tree. After enjoying the fireworks on New Year’s Eve January will be the time for outdoor cinema, walking tours and fitness classes and sport. Finally February will be the peak time for music lovers with concerts every friday.
The Summer in the Parks program kicks off on Friday December 1 at Rosalind Park. For the full line-up of events visit the Summer in the Parks website.
This event is part of the Regional Centre for Culture; a year-long celebration of the four buzzing Victorian centres of Bendigo, Daylesford, Castlemaine and Maryborough. Find out more about all the events happening in the Regional Centre for Culture in 2018.
