New York's Brooklyn Brewery is brewing a killer laneway party

Good Beer Week is in full swing and Brooklyn Brewery is teaming up with laneway bars Section 8 and Ferdydurke to bring a New York-style block party. Brooklyn Brewery will be taking over taps and the sister bars just off Lonsdale Street will be hosting a line-up of international and local DJs and a killer barbecue spread from Brass Knuckle BBQ to go along with your brews.

Over at Section 8, New York DJ Ge-Ology (who has worked with Mos Def, Talib Kweli and even a young Tupac) will be leading the tunes at the Brooklyn Block Party, followed by Melbourne hip-hop collective Esese and DJs Jimmy Dawg and Mickey Edwards.

Get out of the laneway and into Ferdydurke, which will be transformed into a dive bar with rock 'n' roll blasting out of speakers. A crew of barbers will be setting up shop on Ferdydurke's balcony from 2-6pm to dish out $5 fresh cuts. Later on, rock 'n' roll DJ Mermaid will be spinning tunes followed by rock and blues bands Rattlin’ Bones Blackwood and Night On The Tiles rounding up the lineup.
