Time Out says

It's truffle season, celebrate this earthy winter harvest at Prahran Market

Prahran Market's annual Truffle Festival has been expanded into the Truffle and Charcuterie Celebration, because why not pair winter's most delicious harvest with excellent smallgoods?

For one day, the market will celebrate all things truffle and charcuterie with all manner of truffled dishes and locally made and imported charcuterie, including ham that's been crowned the world's best.

There plenty of hot food to warm you up against the cold winter day, look out for Prahran Market's newest restaurant Wilson and Market, which will be serving poached eggs with truffles, reggiano and soft polenta, while Maker and Monger will be making truffle cacio e pepe out of a cheese wheel. Kitchen supplies store The Essential Ingredient will be also making a delicious truffle risotto with garlicky mushrooms, and Sweet Greek will be dishing up a truffle-infused honey baklava for dessert.

Truffle growers and smallgoods producers will be in attendance, so you can get clued up on the products on offer. Visitors will also be able to check out cooking demonstrations at the Omega and Neil Perry kitchen where chefs from Estelle by Scott Pickett, Oter, and more will be showing punters the best ways to cook with truffle and charcuterie.
