Where to dine in and order out, the best holiday desserts and more to know about Thanksgiving in Miami
Ah, Thanksgiving in Miami. There’s a lot about it we love: The delicious food, family time, milder weather and all the friends in town eager to hit up Miami’s best bars. On the other hand, there’s the family time and the heightened risk of a gnarly hangover (on account of said friends in town). Also, Art Basel Miami Beach is right around the corner and you know you should probably save some energy for that week of chaos. Still, Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season, and who can be mad at that? With a little planning, we’re confident you’ll be feeling full and happy when all is said and done, and ready to power through Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Miami like a true champ.
The Thanksgiving holiday is always observed on the fourth Thursday in November. This year, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 23.
Though hurricane season technically doesn't end until November 30, Miami typically enjoys milder temperatures and fewer rainy days in November compared to the later summer months. Miami's high season is considered to be November through March, but things don't really get super hectic until the first week of December, in tandem with Art Basel and Miami Art Week.
If you're thinking about visiting Miami for Thanksgiving, rest assured there will be plenty of amazing restaurants, bars and hotels ready and willing to take you in and show you a great time.
