If you're in love with the cherished children's book Where the Wild Things Are, you'll definitely want to trek out to the Fenimore Art Museum to see its newest exhibit: 50 Years, 50 Works, 50 Reasons, Maurice Sendak: The Memorial Exhibition. Opening on April 1 and running through May 13, this family-friendly pick will feature cool stuff like original illustrations from Little Bear, Where the Wild Things Are and In the Night Kitchen, plus set design and costume sketches, posters, sculptures and more. Seems like a great spring break adventure to us!

Additionally, on Saturdays April 1–May 13 and on weekdays April 17–21 at 11am, the museum offers tours that include a reading of Where the Wild Things Are and a craft where kids can draw their own wild thing for themselves.
