There's a pumpkin paradise waiting for you right outside of New York City! Make like Linus and hop to it.

Wagner Farm Arboretum's Brite Nites fall fundraiser in New Jersey is a delightful Halloween event for kids in the tristate area. Akin to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze, this spooky celebration puts 1,000 hand-carved jack o'lanterns on display in a variety of intricate installations. This year, visitors can expect a tribute to first responders.

Though typically a walk-through event, the 2020 festival will be a drive-thru experience. On your journey, expect to encounter a T. rex and dragon jack o'lantern, as well as other nifty designs. It'll take roughly 15-20 minutes to work your way through the grounds. Note that advanced time tickets are required.

Snag your tickets online ($25 per vehicle on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, $30 on Friday and Saturday). While en route to the other side of the Hudson, be sure to crank up the best Halloween songs for kids. Why not make a day of it? Visit a nearby farm for some apple picking and runs through winding corn mazes. You can close out your fall outing with a drive down Brite Nites' Pumpkin Path.
