Build-A-Bear's Pay Your Age deal is back—with a new plan

Last summer, Build-A-Bear offered its greatest perk to date, yet the affair unfortunately resulted in a traumatic experience for little shoppers. 

The teddy bear bonanza known as Pay Your Age Day ended in store closures across the country, as the company could not accommodate the massive crowds who wanted to participate. This year, however, our go-to New York toy store has a few plans in place to ensure that all little ones can get their furry friend for a cool price. Plus, there are more perks underway! 

Time is of the essence teddy fans: Head to the Build-A-Bear Bonus Club page (which is free to join) and fill out a birthday profile on your account by June 16. From there, parents can enter their kiddos in the Pay Your Age limited ticket event. Shoppers will then have to venture to their local store during one of two redemption periods from June 24–28 to cash in on their desired pay-your-age stuffed animal. (Note the deal offers one furry friend per child present, with a limit two furry friends per ticket.)

The fun is set to continue. If you're planning an epic birthday party for kids, you'll want to enter the Count Your Candles sweepstakes. This also requires completing a birthday profile by June 16. Ten lucky winners will score the grand prize of a birthday party at Build-A-Bear, which they can use any time over the next 12 months.

"We love parties and want to help parents create special birthday moments with their children,” Sharon Price John, president and chief executive officer of the company, said in a statement. "Our Count Your Candles birthday program is designed to increase the accessibility for kids to be able to celebrate their most special day at Build-A-Bear Workshop."
