Time to kick the prehistoric fun into high gear.

In celebration of our favorite carnivores, the Bronx Zoo will host a lineup of programming that promises to make International Dinosaur Day 2019 the best yet. Raise those tiny t. rex hands if you're ready for a roaring good time this weekend!

Little paleontologists who love dinosaur activities—and the Zoo's new Dinosaur Safari exhibit—will not want to miss these dino-mite things to do. According to the Zoo's website, events are free (with admission to the venue, per Wildlife Conservation Society staffers) and will take place on Astor Court. Note that entrance into Dinosaur Safari is not free. (You can take advantage of the attraction with a Total Experience ticket, which is $39.95 and $29.95 for children).

Here's what you can anticipate this Saturday and Sunday for International Dinosaur Day:

Become Your Inner Dinosaur (Ongoing): This is where it all begins. Take a quiz to uncover which dinosaur best meshes with your personality. From there, it's time to celebrate and unleash your inner velociraptor, spinosaurus and so on.

Dinosaur Mask Making (Saturday and Sunday from 11am–3pm): Your kids can channel extinct creatures and put their creative chops to work with this activity. Plus, they'll want to hang onto their dino masks for other celebrations throughout the weekend.

Dinosaur Parade (Saturday and Sunday at 11:30am, 1:30 and 3:30pm): Waltz around the zoo dressed as a triceratops, allosaurus and more! During this fun event, your youngsters can sport their dino costumes and masks!

Spellasurus Finals (Saturday at noon): School groups will take part in a dino-themed spelling bee. Think these contestants have what it takes to compete?

Amazing Adaptation: The Dinosaur Adventure (Saturday at 11am and 3pm, Sunday at 11am, 12:30, 2 and 3pm): Wildlife Theater will take visitors through Cope and Marsh's exploration of animal adaptation.

Keep the prehistoric theme going after you leave the zoo: Check out our favorite kids' museums or family movies for an action-packed dino experience.
