Your child's favorite toys are making their way from doll houses to stages across the tristate area.
If you were looking to expose your crew to the theater, you're in luck. An all-new American Girl musical will make the rounds in 2019, and tickets have just gone on sale.
Although details about particular characters have yet to be released, the brand promises a "You go girl!" mentality with an inspiring storyline. The show will focus on a few protagonists who head to summer camp and learn about friendship in the process—something similar to what your kiddies will experience IRL.

For those little ones who can't wait that long for the excitement, we have excellent news. The American Girl Place in NYC is providing little New Yorkers (and their dollies) a wide range of summer activities, including American Girl at Wicked (July 25, 2–6pm, $155 per person). Broadway buffs big and small will have the chance to see a classic show. Following the performance, attendees will be invited back for dinner at the American Girl Place Café.
But Broadway isn't the only destination American Girl will visit. On July 12 (from 11:45am–5pm for $97 per person), families can take in the spectacular views of the city on a Circle Line Cruise and chow down on a great dinner at the Café following the main event.
Of course, there are some stellar freebies as well.
On July 27 at 10am, kids are invited to the NYC flagship store to meet Miss Luciana Vega, the 2018 Girl of the Year. They'll get acquainted with this aspiring astronaut by way of interactive science demonstrations and a fun space-themed craft.
