It appears Punxsutawney Phil's weather predictions might come to fruition.

We can certainly feel spring inching closer, especially considering one of our go-to venues for ice skating in NYC is about to close for the season. Sadly, your final chance to take a spin around the rink at Bryant Park is this Sunday, March 3. Though we welcome Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park with open arms, hungry stomachs and empty shopping bags, it's time to start planning the best things to do with kids in spring

The Midtown green space certainly knows how to things busy during the colder months, and if you're unconvinced, take a look at the success of this year's bumper cars. We swapped our skates for seats, as FrostFest invited park-goers to hit the ice on bumper cars, transforming the hotspot into a mini amusement park for kids (and adults). Although we are clearly anxious for warm weather and infinite amounts of sunshine, we're willing to put up with cold NYC winters if it means the bumper cars will make an appearance every year (hint, hint Bryant Park)

Get your final dose of winter fun this weekend with a visit to the rink (admission is free and skate rentals are $20). Round off the adventure with a cup of the best hot chocolate in NYC and consider the season a success. Spring, we're ready for you now.
