NYC kids rejoice! Santa Claus is coming to Bryant Park

Santa has descended from the North Pole a few days early, and it comes as no surprise he's chosen to spend his free time in NYC. (We always knew he had impeccable taste!)

Beginning Sunday Dec 16, Kris Kringle will join the festivities at Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, so gather the whole family for your annual meet and greet at Santa's Corner. The man in the red suit will see little visitors from 1–3pm to hear all about their holiday wish lists, and of course, he'll be ready to strike strike a pose (all photos are free, and you're welcome to take your own). Since Sunday will be Santa's first day in town, we recommend arriving early; the line will form at 12:30pm, and carolers will delight park-goers with the best Christmas tunes while they wait.

No holiday is complete without a picture with Santa, and fortunately he'll be making a Midtown appearance from 1–3pm every day until Dec 23. We can't blame him for setting up shop in Bryant Park—it's home to one of the best holiday markets in NYC and one of the best locales for ice skating in NYC (free admission, with $20 skate rentals). Essentially, it's a winter wonderland smack dab in the middle of Gotham (with plenty of scrumptious treats like the chimney cake).

Are you ready to reveal your must-have present to Santa? We'll see you on Sunday!

When you leave the park, take the train uptown to Lincoln Center for "Home Alone in Concert" performed by the New York Philharmonic. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal!
