Central Park is gearing up for a festive summer.

Last week, Safari Playground debuted its new amenities. (Yes, the fan-favorite hippos are back!) Now, the final stage of the Billy Johnson Playground reconstruction has been unveiled, so you'll want to make a visit with the brood as soon as possible.

The epic new net climber deserves a top spot on your list of outdoor activities for kids.

Adventurous tykes will love climbing their way through the rustic obstacle, which was designed in collaboration with landscape architect M. Paul Friedberg. Little New Yorkers with springs in their feet (particularly those ages 2–5) will venture through cables and nets on sloped embankments. Plus, there are platforms, stairs, slides and even a rope bridge.

Expect a bucolic atmosphere when you arrive at one of the best kids' playgrounds NYC has to offer.

“The use of rustic timber throughout the playground references the surrounding park landscape and echoes the nearby Dene Summerhouse, a rustic shelter perched on a massive rock outcrop in the backdrop of the playground,” Christopher J. Nolan, Central Park Conservancy’s chief operating officer and chief landscape architect said in a statement.

Even better? A new sand table and user-activated water feature are at the ready. When those dog days of summer hit, you know you'll need to visit the best water playgrounds for kids in the city. (No judgment if you rinse off your feet, parents.)

While you're at it, make sure the kiddies race down the playground's awesome 45-foot slides! We'll see you in Central Park, friends.
