July is an exciting month for foodies.

A three-day eating extravaganza kicks off with National French Fry Day on July 13, followed by National Mac and Cheese Day on the 14th and topped off with National Ice Cream Day on the 15th. Basically, it's every kid's dream.

If you and your youngsters are in the mood for some comfort food this weekend, we rounded up five locations with mac and cheese that's sure to please—creamy, delicious and unique. But don't fill up because you'll have another dairy day on Sunday.

We might have a new favorite holiday. Happy munching, NYC!

National Mac and Cheese Day Picks

Schnipper’s Quality Kitchen
  • Restaurants
  • American
  • Midtown West
  • price 1 of 4

These old-school offerings are essentially like a backyard bbq in the heart of NYC. Customers will love a side of mac and cheese with their burgers or hot dogs, but the ultimate kid-approved menu item is Mac & Joe—the combination of a Sloppy Joe and mac cheese (aka the ultimate throwback for parents).

  • Restaurants
  • American
  • East Village
  • price 1 of 4

S'Mac is the premiere destination for a creamy bowl of macaroni. Fuel up with regular, multi-grain or gluten-free pasta and choose the cheese you love most. If you're feeling really adventurous, opt for the 4 Cheese offering, which includes a mixture of cheddar, muenster, gruyere and pecorino.

  • Astoria
  • price 1 of 4

The name of this Astoria go-to says it all. Customers can enjoy the Classic Mac & Cheese, get a bit spicy with the Atomic Fire Balls (deep-fried mac and cheese served with Sriracha and Ranch) or feel elegant with the Truffle Mushroom Mac & Cheese, a lovely trio with bechamel, fontina and cheddar.

Hometown Bar-b-que
  • Restaurants
  • Barbecue
  • Red Hook

The Brooklyn hotspot is so worth traveling to the subway-less Red Hook for—especially on an empty stomach. While you're feasting on pulled pork, brisket or Korean ribs, make sure you order a side of Texas-style Queso mac and cheese to make the most out of your meal.
