Time Out says

If your creative kids prefer pots and pans to paints and crayons, this is the place to get them acquainted with culinary arts. Each day, they tie on their very own apron and whip up two to three different recipes, with something savory and something sweet on the menu. In the morning, youngsters ages 4 to 8 learn basic kitchen safety and play while they help cook, and older campers ages 9 to 13 get to pick up more advanced techniques in the afternoons. Professional culinary instructors and a few “kid experts” help the young chefs tackle themes like Baking 101, Cupcake & Cookie Wars and Mystery Basket—a silly riff on the TV show Chopped. Savvy young chefs ages 11 to 16 can even get in on a special Urban Foodies Travel Camp, which takes them to food vendors, restaurants and markets throughout the city to inspire them in the kitchen; themes include Bakeries, Around the World and Chocolate Lovers. Early drop-off is available for an additional fee. Ages 4–16.
