Have you heard the good news? As of last Friday, Time Out Market New York, Union Square, is officially open. And we can tell you about all the good things—the vendors, the back patio, the drinks!—but we would rather you come on over so we can show you. But we get it, you may have questions: What is there to eat? What about the drinks? And will you finally cure our depressing desk lunch? Yes, yes, and absolutely yes. Here are five ways to experience the latest Time Out Market hall, your way.

Stop and shop breakfast
That sad instant coffee? It doesn’t have to be you. Time Out Market, Union Square, opens bright and early at 8am, so you can come in and get a hot one (or cold one—iced coffee season is eternal) before heading on your way. Just make your way over to the coffee station behind the bar for lattes and drip coffees from Coffee Project NY or cold brew from La Colombe. And if you need a snack to get you started, Sunday Morning is providing cinnamon rolls hot from the oven and Épicerie Boulud has egg muffins and all manner of flaky croissants on the roster.

Lunch specials galore
We implore you—leave your desk and actually take your break at the Market. You deserve it. Plus, all of our vendors are open for lunchtime, so all the options can be yours. Midday dining options include suadero and al pastor tacos from Taqueria El Chato, as well as loaded Italian subs and sandwiches from Paninoteca by Anthony. Fornino, however, is churning out a pretty sweet lunch deal. Head to the Neapolitan-style pizzeria for a full margherita or special pie of the day with a half salad for just $15. And if you only have a bit of breathing room in between meetings or classes, palm a chicken curry or beef patty from Patty Palace on the go.
Dinner and a drinks in one spot
Do you prefer dinner right at five? Or is eating at 9pm more of your style? The Market is open until 10pm, so come on down no matter what time of night. Evening eats include classic burgers sidekicked with Sichuan-spiced mushrooms from Lori Jayne, ample-sized portions of Pad Thai and Crab Fried Rice from Kam Rai Thai and chargrilled kebabs and biryani from Kebabwala.
And if a little liquid libations are calling, the bar is open all day, ready and waiting for that after-work, after-school or after-whatever drink. Spritzes and spins on classic cocktails can be found here, next to a curated selection of wines and beers from local favorites. Our lineup also includes a few spirit-free sippers for all to cheers with. Speaking of enjoyment, our back patio stays open well into the night, ready to welcome you and some of your closest friends.

Sweets on sweets—on sweets
The time for a sweet treat is anytime. So, circle back to the coffee bar to find some prime-time desserts. Get Dubai chocolate and Italian rainbow cookies in shortbread form from Shortbread Society or dive into a few spoonfuls of the iconic banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery.
Third spaces done right
Places to gather in NYC, unfortunately, can be few and far between. But Time Out Market, Union Square, invites you to meet your community here. Our diverse line of events has so far included early morning movement classes and Monday night board games with beer fests on the horizon. Watch this space to see what’s happening next.
