The Sydney bar scene did a lot of growing up in the last 12 months. Suddenly we've got bars that are restaurants, pubs that are cocktail bars, restaurants you visit for a drink, and some places that are all three at once. It's confusing, but it means that we also have more exciting places to go after dark. Sydney boasts some of the best bartenders in the business, so your drink is in safe hands, be it a boozy stirred-down belly blaster or a glass of Georgian wine from ancient vines. We are also making the kind of bar snacks that people cross state lines for. There's a lot to be hopeful about in 2017, so prepare for another excellent year of drinking in Sydney.
