There's a new brewery bar opening in the Rocks

It was a sad day when Wine Odyssey closed its doors, taking with it their very impressive range of Australian wines by the glass. But the historic corner site is being revived by a boozy venture of a different nature: a craft beer bar.

The new venue is a collaborative effort from the Endeavour Vintage Beer Co and Applejack Hospitality. The former is best known for their annual ales and the latter are the brains behind beloved Sydney venues like Della Hyde, the Botanist, Bondi Hardware , the Butler, and SoCal.

Before it was an enoteca, the corner building just off the Argyle Street pedestrian mall was a pub called the King's Head Hotel, and now it is returning to its roots as the Endeavour Tap Rooms. In addition to being the site of Endeavour's first permanent brewery, there will be a restaurant with a heavy focus on smoked meats and seafood plus the bar featuring local brews exclusive to the tap room, batched cocktails and NSW wines.

Coming Soon - Endeavour Tap Rooms, 39-43 Argyle St, The Rocks 2000.
