After years of curious anticipation from history-loving locals, one of the Southern Highlands’ most storied estates is officially back. Milton Park Bowral will reopen on Monday, February 2, 2026, stepping into in a glossy new era under the regal new name Ardour Milton Park Bowral. Fresh from a multi-million-dollar renovation, the heritage-listed Milton Park (Originally established in 1910) has been reimagined as a high-end retreat with a 2026 facelift – here’s what we know so far.

Inside, we’ve been promised a thoughtful design narrative that layers modern elegance over the building’s historic soul. Guestrooms, dining areas and social spaces have all been refreshed – but the heritage-style grandeur is still a major calling card.

The reopening will also introduce Horderns, the hotel’s signature restaurant, alongside The Polo Bar, a more relaxed space serving Champagne and Martinis the way any grand hotel should. A dedicated charcuterie room within The Polo Bar is also on the way — a detail that feels very on brand for the Highlands: one of the most popular weekend spots for Sydney-based foodies.

If you’re on a wellness drive, you’re in luck too. Èliva Bowral, the estate’s upcoming spa and wellness offering, is set to open shortly after launch, rounding out the experience with restorative treatments designed to match the property’s peaceful, countrycore setting.

General Manager David McDonald says the reopening marks just the beginning: a carefully considered revival that places equal emphasis on accommodation, dining and wellness. And with the launch of Ardour Milton Park Bowral comes the debut of Ardour Hotels & Estates, a new collection of immersive luxury retreats focused on Australia’s fave regional destinations – we’re staying very much tuned on this one.

For Sydneysiders craving an indulgent old-world escape – and romantics drawn to Bridgerton-coded getaways – this Highlands comeback is big.

It’s also worth noting the opening deal: guests who book early will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Taittinger Champagne, $100 hotel credit, breakfast for two and a 12pm late checkout.
