Room 309 is known for its unique cocktail experiences that offer a multisensory approach to drinks. For a limited time, the team behind the bar is adding two new engaging cocktail offerings on their menu with their Made by The Sea themed cocktail pop-up. Both cocktails present a unique way of serving the drink that marries Hong Kong flavours and imagined West Coast characters of Scotland.
A World Away (HK$190) – served in a special glass ship in a bottle
For the menu, Room 309 bartender Garrick Wong created a refreshing whisky sour drink called A World Away (HK$190) – served in a special glass ship in a bottle – made with dried seafood-infused Talisker 10 whisky, guava juice, homemade lime cordial, and ginger honey. The drink's savoury notes from the dried seafood complement the salinity of the whisky at the same time drifts you a tropical summer with its guava flavour notes. While multisensory mixology master, Antonio Lai, concocted his reimagined take on an Old Fashioned called Wild Sea Voyage ($280) using Talisker 18 whisky, aromatic bitters, and homemade nori mix with artichoke liqueur, coffee, and a pinch of sea salt, served with nori chips clipped by the glass. The spirit-forward drink is elevated with accompanying sounds and visuals presented in a projected box reflecting images of waves and battered shores of the Isle of Skye.
Catch these interesting serves when you drop by Room 309. The menu will be available from now until July 18.
