News just in: Alvin 'Demon Chef' Leung – known for his three-Michelin starred Bo Innovation and his stint as a judge on MasterChef Canada – is getting ready to open his sophomore venture. Located in the same building as the world-famous Bo, Bib n Hops brings Leung's take on Korean street eats to Ship Street's J Senses.

Inspired by the festive vibe of Seoul's street food scene, Leung and head chef Yong Soo Do (formerly of Jinjuu and U-Hang), will showcase contemporary Korean-style casual fare at their 1,500 square metre, 75-seat diner. There's a tidy menu of Korean beer and soju cocktails, too, will go down a treat on the restaurant's outdoor patio section. Highlights on the menu include yukhoe (Korean steak tartare) ($168), cheese nakji (stir-fried spicy squid with mozzarella fondue) ($258), and various flavours of bibimbap like Peruvian spiced pork belly ($168) and Singaporean soft shell crab ($188). There's also a selection of premium meats and fish that are grilled to order over charcoal, served with fresh lettuce and Korean condiments. More importantly perhaps, unlike Bo Innovation, Bib n Hops is affordably priced for lunch and dinner.

With this latest opening, Leung adds another feather to his already highly decorated cap. And, with Kelly's Cape Bop and a new Seoul Bros outlet within walking distance, among others, is this also a sign that Wan Chai is turning into Hong Kong's new Korean town?

Bib n Hops opens in October. 2/F, J Residence, Ship Street, Wan Chai, 2882 9128,bibnhops.hk
