Burger fiends, look sharp. Three Buns is popping up at Potato Head Hong Kong for one month from now until October 19. The ‘Endless Summer Soiree’ on September 20 will give all attendees a cocktail upon entry and the first 100 guests can sink their teeth into a complimentary burger.

Part of the Potato Head Family, with restaurants in Singapore and Jakarta, Three Buns redefines the neighbourhood burger joint by creating burgers for the South East Asian market. The burgers come courtesy of chef Adam Penney, the brains behind London’s Patty & Bun, which our Time Out London family loved, and has a reputation for serving up London’s finest burgers.

Chef Penney is creating three new burgers specially for the Hong Kong pop-up, which includes the Porkerface – a 150g Dingley Dell pork patty, XO mayo, cucumbers, scallions, pickled daikon and chilli in a toasted demi brioche bun and the Baby Huey – a 150g Hereford Angus beef patty, slow-cooked homemade ketchup, smoked paprika and mustard mayo. Last but not least, the Smokin’ B-Boy is a 150g Hereford Angus beef patty, garnished with smoked apple wood cheddar, Dingley Dell beer and treacle streaky bacon with barbecue ketchup.

It’s not all meat and buns. The Naughty Fries are twice-cooked, hand-cut potatoes smothered in homemade gojuchang béarnaise and beef chilli and Wing Its – twice-cooked buttermilk brined free-range chicken wings served with barbecue sauce, scallions and pickled chilli – are available too. If you're looking for a healthier option, the Pokemon Bowl is packed with yellow fin tuna akami, ponzu, organic quinoa, avocado, daikon, jalapeno and spiced mayo.

Wash it all down with Potato Head’s newest libations including cocktails like Balinese Lovers Punch, a concoction of rum, brandy, genever, pomelo shrub, clarified milk and island spices or the Tropics Old Fashioned with coconut fat washed bourbon, roasted pineapple skin syrup and archipelago bitters.
