New York sneaker store Stadium Goods are breaking into the Hong Kong market with a residency at Pacific Place until October 15.

The store features an exhibition of Sneaker News and Sneaker Con founder Yu Ming Wu’s personal collection. Selected favourites from his hundreds-strong shoe-hoard are being rotated over the weeks so fans have the opportunity to view as many pairs as possible with more than 40 styles available to purchase. Highlights include rare and valuable sneakers like Kanye West’s last collaboration with Nike – the Nike Air Yeezy 2 ‘Platinum’ sneakers, which are going for $36,000 – and the Nike Air Mag – the much-hyped Back to the Future styled sneaks.

The store also offers the chance to have your sneakers personalised with hand painted illustrations by local and international artists. Locals Bao Ho, Zoie Lam and Kristopher Ho and American artists Kendra Dandy, Sophie Roach are on hand to turn pairs of plain white sneakers into one-of-a-kind rarities.

The pop-up store claims to be the only place to buy a lot of sold out editions, so you just might find your grail pair. Sam Sinha
