Help feed those in need with this new charity drive

Food delivery service Honestbee has joined forces with Feeding Hong Kong – one of the city's leading surplus food redistribution charities – to launch an online ‘store’ to donate food.

The page works like any other on Honestbee, but instead of buying things for yourself, this service allows you to browse and purchase items you would like to give to someone in need. As a bonus, each donation is doubled as it's matched by Honestbee one-for-one.

Feeding Hong Kong is dedicated to collecting and redistributing surplus food to those in need, but they can never guarantee what will be donated. This collaboration allows them to supplement the surplus food they receive with staple goods like rice, noodles and canned food so that they can help people get a balanced feed.

The charity hopes this online platform will reach more people and help raise awareness of the 70,000 Hong Kong households that live below the poverty line. The online drive launches today, which is World Food Day, with over 20 products available to browse in the online store which can be found hereSam Sinha.
